Happy 90th Birthday Quota!
100 Acts of Service
Performed in honor of Quota's Birthday!
Oink! Oink! What a success this year's "Hawg Killin" (aka Luau Party) was! We can't thank IP Casino Resort Spa enough for the delicious food, and the "backup" Ballroom. We faced a rainy day, but the great folks at IP moved quickly, and soon their Ballroom was a tropical paradise!
Congrats to our "Pig Beauty Contest" winners:
1st Place - Nancy Fobes
2nd Place - Bridget Logan & Vickie Wiliams
3rd Place - Darlene Duffano
Congrats to Paula and Vicki for raising the most "Pig Money" this past year!
Congrats to the winner of the Big Green Egg -
Karen Sinopoli!
Thanks to everyone who contributed to this very special project! We raised over $500 for the Center, and filled a huge truck full of baby items! Special thanks to COAST RADIO GROUP!
It is a proven fact that young people who routinely engage in the types of activities that encourage service to others, are less likely to be involved in risky behaviors. Today’s youth has the energy, imagination and tools to reach out and help their peers, families and their own neighborhoods – and it doesn’t necessarily require money to do so. It requires a genuine desire to put others’ needs ahead of their own. Quota International,
MS Gulf Coast wants to foster and encourage
that sense of caring.
If you know a school age child (1st thru 12th Grade) in Harrison, Jackson or Hancock County, who has performed an unselfish act of service between Sept 1, 2007 and today, please nominate them for this recognition. All nominations will be reviewed by our YES Board of Educators, Counselors and Service Volunteers.
Each month, an outstanding youth will be recognized at their school, club or church, with a $100 Savings Bond and a "YES" medal of achievement.
At the end of the school year, all children who receive this award, will be invited to a special function in their honor, and one of those recipients will be named YES honoree of the year, and receive a $1,000.00 Savings Bond.
CONGRATULATIONS COMMUNITY CHAMPIONS
Recognized for their hard work, and unselfish dedication to serving
the Deaf Community on the MS Gulf Coast
