"Chartered" September 14, 2010

Our Junior Quota Club is the first in the state of Mississippi. It is a service oriented club that is open to female and male students who enjoy caring, sharing, and supporting others.  The JQ Club meets every Tuesday morning.  They decide their own community service projects.

The Fall Semester of this year began with a pet food and supply drive for the Humane Society of South Mississippi.  Our adult Quota Club members came out in full force to support them. Their next project was participating in the Gulfport School District Fall Festival.  Tattoos were applied for six hours! Our President, Mia McCord, represented the JQ Club as our Sweetheart in the Homecoming Parade.  The winter months have kept them busy with face painting for the MS Gulf Coast Quota Club’s fundraising event, Christmas City, and adopting two children for the Christmas Angel Tree Project.  They look forward to marching in the Quota Club’s Shenanigans St. Patrick’s Day Parade.  Our core group may be small in number, but they truly love what they are doing.  They are active in many extra-curricular and civic organizations.  We are proud of them!
