December 21 - Visit to the Biloxi Community Living Center Nursing Home
This was a very special project, dedicated to the often forgotten at the holidays- senior citizens in a nursing home. The Sewing Club at the de l'Epee Deaf Center (under the direction of Quotarian, Doris Mahalek) made fabric bags, and we filled them with goodies for 57 residents at the Biloxi Community Living Center in Biloxi. Thanks to help from Ditte, Patti and "Quota Friends" Ginger Maxwell and Melonie Raymond (Vicki's Mom) for help in the "stuffing" process.

On Sunday afternoon, Dec. 21, Quotarians Mona, Jan and her granddaughter, Vicki, along with "Quota Friends" Dee Lawson and her daughter Shea, Melonie Raymond, Ginger Maxwell and her children, Tim and Eddie Raymond (Vicki's brothers) and Bill Lawson (aka Santa) shared homemade sugar-free goodies, music (provided by "Tribute") and passed out the gifts with the residents. We also visited the residents individually, took their photos with Santa, and gave the pictures to them as a keepsake for the day.

Thanks to Fredia at the Biloxi Community Living Center for allowing us to visit these very special people. Their smiles and warm welcomes made our Christmas a memorable one!
Merry Christmas to all... thanks to everyone who contributed cash, wrapped gifts
and helped with this project!
